Vidalia Onions Arrival Date

The Vidalia Onions will be here on Monday May 4, 2009. The Board of Directors would like every coach to stop by to pick up the onions for their team. We will be available to hand out the onions after 4:30 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The winners will be announced at the end of the week. Call Jerry at 387-6816 for more information.

Rescheduled Games For May 24, 2009

The Major league Baseball Games that were cancelled for May 24, 2009 due to lightning are rescheduled for Saturday May 2, 2009

The Rockies Vs Yankees will start at 2 pm
The Astros Vs. Twins will start approximately at 4:00 pm.


The Major League Softball game that were cancelled for May 24, 2009 due to lightning will be rescheduled for Saturday May 2, 2009

Marlins vs Braves will be played at 2pm on the Major League Softball Field.

Due to the remake of the Machine pitch schedule, no games from May 24, 2009 will be made up.

Machine Pitch Schedule Revisited

We have updated the machine pitch schedule. This schedule should give everyone equal number of games and equal number of playing against teams. If there is a problem please contact me. Please note the games during the week in the last two weeks in May. These games will start at 5:30 pm.



Due to updating the machine pitch schedule, you will notice that there are a few games in May during the week. These games will start at 5:30 pm. Since no one else is playing the concession stand duty will fall on those machine pitch teams that are present.

Board Member on Duty

We have developed a board member on duty list. These board members will handle any problem on those evenings. If a board member can not be there that board member needs to find a replacement. The listing is located with the other links on the sidebar

Concession Stand Duty for 2009

We have completed the 2009 Concession Stand duty. It is located on the sidebar. Please note which day your team gets the opportunity to work in the concession stand. If the your duty is on Friday, you will need to be there at 5pm. You are responsible for the following rules concerning our concession stand;

1. Keep hands washed as often as possible.( Especially when preparing foods, ie hamburgers and hotdogs.
2. NO children under the age of 16 are allowed to be in the concession stand at any time.
3. A board member will be available to answer and help out in times of need.
4. Follow price guidelines.
5. All workers must pay for their food and drinks while working.
6. Umpires receive one free drink and one hot dog or hamburger while working.
7. Supervise grill at all times when in use.
8. NO TOBACCO PRODUCTS ALLOWED.

CLOSING GUIDELINES

1. Wash all dishes.
2. Put all chocolate candy in refrigerator.
3. Discard leftover cooked food.
4. Empty all trashcans in and around building.
5. Clean bathrooms.
6. Restock all drinks and supplies.
7. Make sure all ovens, grills, and cheese warmers are off.
8. Turn off all gas.
9. Lock bathroom doors.
10. Lock Concession stand door and windows.

Money handling procedures.

1. The team on duty in the concession stand will count the money in the cash drawer.
2. Leave $200.00 in change in the cash register.
3. The board member on duty will count the cash drawer again.
4. The team on duty will fill out the plastic bag for making a deposit.
5. The board member on duty will fill out the deposit slip.
6. The team on duty will seal the double counted money with the deposit slip in the plastic bag.
7. The cash drawer with $200.00 in it will be placed in the freezer.
8. The team on duty will fill out the spiral bound notebook with the amount of money that is deposited.
9. Both the board member on duty and the team on duty will sign the spiral bound notebook.
10. The board member on duty will take the money and deposit in the night deposit box at United Community Bank.
11. The next day the receipt from the bank will reveiwed and compared to the spiral bound notebook. Any difference will be discussed with those who signed the book.

Vidalia Onions


The vidalia onions Sale will conclude this Saturday April 18, 2009.  All  monies and orders are due back to your team on that day.  All team parent leaders should bring by their completed sales forms  for their teams by the concession stand at the field on Saturday. Remember we need to sell at least 4600 boxes to meet our goal.   Please lets really push  vidalias this week.  Lets meet our goals.
Coaches please get me your numbers  from your team sales leaders by Wednesday if at all possible

Games for Saturday April 18, 2009

Due to the Snow day of the previous week, and school being in session on April 18, 2009 the scheduled games for  this Saturday  April 18, 2009,have been rescheduled from 10 am and 12 noon to 2 pm and 4 pm. If your division only has one game it will be at 4 pm.  If there are any questions please contact Jerry Moody at 387-6816.

Game Schedule Explanation

Good morning Little Leaguers, parents, coaches, and volunteers!!!

On the schedule, the first team mentioned will be considered the home team.

Monday through Friday Night Games will be played at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM

Saturday Games will be played at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

If there is only one game listed, then the time of that game will be at 5:30 on the weekdays and 12:00 on Saturday.


Duties of Teams:
· HOME team of the first game is to make sure the field is lined.
· HOME Team of the second game is to do trash pickup, if only one game is played that day, the away team will have trash pickup.
· The AWAY teams of both games are to rake the fields.
· Each team has duty night…. On this night you are to staff the concession stand and clean the restrooms. You must turn in your schedule for concessions duty one week prior to your assigned duty night. This information on game times and duties of each team are located in the Coaches Manual

We will be publishing the duty teams for each game night in the next few days.

Practice and Game Schedules

If you look on the sidebar we have posted our Game Schedules and Practice schedules for the 2009 season. The practice schedule are just the times for the fields at the Little League Complex, and does not include other practices at different locations. All of these schedules are pdf documents and can be printed from any computer. The only schedule not posted is the Machine Pitch baseball practice schedule. Thsi will be posted soon.

If you want to know if a game has been cancelled, call 733-3591 and a message will let you know the status of all of the games scheduled for today. Be sure to call after 4:30 pm on any game day.
